Vektor
VECKTOR
You fly a wireframe rocket low over a glowing landscape, and the fuel gauge never stops falling. Six sectors between you and the core. Nothing out there wants you to reach it.
Rockets wait on their pads until you're close enough to matter, then leave one at a time — each timed to arrive at your altitude exactly when you do. Saucers sweep in as stepped formations and lean toward your height as they close. Fireballs come up off the deck. Fuel drums are scarce and sit on the ground, so the only way to keep flying is to go low, drop a bomb on one, and pull up before the ridge does it for you.
How to play
- Arrows / W A S D — fly (fore and aft as well as up and down)
- Z / Space — laser, straight ahead
- X / Shift — bomb, arcing down onto the deck
- Gamepad — stick or d-pad to fly, A / R2 laser, B / R1 bomb, and it rumbles when it hurts
- Touch — drag the left half of the screen to fly, buttons bottom right
- P — pause · N — mute
Features
- Everything is vectors — no textures, no sprites, no solid faces. Every line you see is a line.
- Genuine 3D depth: ridges at different distances crawl past at their own speed because they really are further away, and the terrain is an extruded wireframe you can read the shape of
- Six sectors with their own character — open ridgeline, caverns with a closing ceiling, a blocky city, a hard-edged maze, a narrowing throat, and the core
- The scroll never stops between sectors: one unbroken run from launch to the last shot
- A stand-and-fight finale where the core throws interceptors back at you
- 8-bit chip sound — pulse and noise channels, stepped pitch sweeps, band-limited like a cabinet speaker
- Fuel is the real enemy. Running dry kills you as surely as a mountain does.
Destroy the core.
